For trips, flats and couples
Split expenses and bills with one link
Name the group, add everyone as plain names, and paste the link into the chat. Anyone who has it can add what they paid. Splitsheet keeps the balances and works out the fewest transfers that settle everyone up.

No account. No app. No charge. Nothing to install for the housemate who never installs anything.
How it works
One person starts it
Type what the group is — a flat, a trip, a weekend — and the names of the people in it. First names are enough, because that is all anyone needs to recognise each other.
The link goes in the group chat
That link is the whole thing. There is no invitation to accept, no email to confirm and no password to forget. Whoever opens it is in.
Everyone adds what they paid
Who paid, how much, and who it was for. Split it evenly, by shares, or by exact amounts when one person only had the starter.
The page always shows who owes who
Balances update as lines land, and underneath them is the short list of payments that clears everyone — usually far fewer than the number of people.
However your group splits it
Couples: split bills with your partner
Keep one two-person sheet open month after month. Both of you add what you paid — rent, the food shop, the electricity bill — and at the end of the month the settle-up says the one payment that evens it out.
Split bills by income, not fifty-fifty
Pick "By shares" and type each person's income as their share. The bill is split in proportion, the percentages show as you type, and the sheet offers the same split for the next bill.
Fuel and gas money by distance
For a shared car or a road trip, type the kilometres or miles each person drove as their share. Whoever drove twice as far pays twice as much of the petrol.
Splitting without a paywall
No account, no app to install, no daily cap on adding expenses and no paid tier behind the settle-up. Everyone in the group opens the same link, so nobody is left out because they would not sign up.
What you get
The settle-up, not just the sums. Three people can owe each other in a circle; the page turns that into the smallest number of payments that ends it.
Other currencies, converted at the European Central Bank's daily reference rate. Each line remembers the day's rate it used, so nobody has to re-argue the taxi in Copenhagen.
A full history and one-tap undo. Every add, edit and delete is listed with who did it, and a deleted line can be brought straight back — so a joke entry costs nothing.
Import the spreadsheet you already started, and export the settle-up as CSV or print it to PDF.
No daily cap on expenses and no premium tier to unlock. A sheet holds up to 24 people and 500 lines; the next trip gets a sheet of its own.
Why it is free
Splitsheet only works if everyone in the group opens the link. A price — or a sign-up, or a seat count — does not earn a little less money here; it stops the third housemate clicking, and an incomplete ledger is worth nothing to anybody. It also never touches money: there are no payment rails, no bank connections and no card details. It does the arithmetic and stays out of the way.
